IMG to Acquire ISP Sports

As first reported by Sports Business Daily, IMG is acquiring ISP Sports in a blockbuster deal that will shake up the face of college sports.

A definitive purchase agreement has been approved and signed by the parties, though certain regulatory approvals and closing conditions must still be met. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

ISP, headquartered in Winston-Salem, NC, has the rights to Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, California, Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Syracuse, UCLA, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Washington, among others.
ISP will be combined with IMG's existing college sports group, which provides marketing, licensing and media services to universities.

P&G Adds Global Olympic Sponsorship; Reaffirms USOC Commitment

IOC deal will cover next 5 Olympic Games

Procter & Gamble, as expected, today announced a TOP partnership with the International Olympic Committee for the next five Olympic Games, starting with London 2012 and running through the 2020 Games.

Some of the P&G brands that will be participating in the partnership include Pampers, Tide, Ariel, Always, Whisper, Crest, Pantene and Olay.

The company also reaffirmed its continuing support of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and announced an additional $50,000 donation to help cover training and expenses for elite U.S. athletes. The company maintains that the new global Olympic partnership only adds to its support of the USOC, a deal which began before the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, and will run through 2020.

EverBank Buying Naming Rights to Jaguars' Stadium

The Jaguars finally have a stadium naming rights partner, and they didn’t have to look far to find it.

The Jaguars and EverBank will announce a deal this afternoon that will give the Jacksonville-based financial institution exclusive naming rights to city-owned Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. It’s believed to be a five-year agreement.

BMW, USOC make 6-year sponsorship deal official

A German automaker sponsoring American athletes? BMW and U.S. Olympic Committee officials see nothing contradictory about that in this global economy.

The two organizations made their six-year deal official Monday at a news conference at a BMW dealership in Manhattan. A person familiar with the contract told The Associated Press in May that it's worth about $24 million.
