The Manager, Marketing Partnerships role leverages deep knowledge of the individual strategies of DPSG’s brands to (A) create major partnership-based platforms to serve as the building blocks of the marketing calendar to drive case and sales volume through retail activation and/or (B) to address specific geographically-based consumer and distribution opportunities. The role, therefore, requires both brand marketing experience as well as proven partnership marketing/sponsorship expertise. Key to success in this role is creativity in developing effective retail activation plans. This person must actively seek to contribute to a best in class partnerships team on a daily basis. As a manager, this person must also be experience coaching direct reports and expanding the team’s range of influence in organization.
External Responsibilities
1. Acquire and maintain deep knowledge of the individual strategies of DPSG’s brands
• Develop strong relationships with assigned brand team(s) to understand brand strategies, including positioning, as well as brand business priorities such as geographic or seasonal priorities
• Understand the implications of partnership activations at retail on the brand
2. Serve as primary manager for partners / properties
• Develop deep relationships with partners that can be leveraged for competitive advantage of successful partnership elements and activation
• Upon contract renewals exercise excellent negotiation strategies to optimize DPS benefits and cost balance
3. Lead and optimize partnership property internally and externally
• Work continuously to enhance retail activation to maximize benefits for DPS, including sales and case volume, display activity, new account activity / distro, pouring at venue, hospitality for key execs and bottlers, samples distributed, consumer impressions at events, consumer impressions via broadcast
• Leverage strong project management discipline to establish planning principles, critical dates and deliverable expectations for merchandising, POS and premium development
• Seek out ways to increase operating efficiencies with vendor/partner negotiations, effective budget management and ongoing process/tool assessment
• Partner and effectively build relationships with Sales and Marketing teams including DSD, Packaged Beverages, Shopper Marketing, Business Development, and Brand Marketing Teams to optimize activation plans
• Manage and track budgeting/invoicing for your partnerships within 5% of budget

• Lead the Partnerships Team in their quest to be “Best in Class” with constant evaluation and results orientation to drive results linked to sales

DESCRIPTION
Manages advertising and sponsorship budgets and creative development, as well as strategically develops and implements all Harrah's Tunica, Horseshoe Tunica and Tunica Roadhouse campaigns. Works with the media department on media planning, placement, and promotional support. Works with Marketing Departments (Promotions and Entertainment), all internal departments, vendors, agencies and employees for the development, implementation and analysis of incoming partnerships and sponsorships to directly reduce costs, drive revenue and add value to the property programming. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Licensed and authorized to obtain money from the cage and to distribute promotional prize money on the gaming floor. Must pass managerlap.

• Develop the annual advertising budget and business plan
• Ensures execution of all on property advertising activities

Community Advertising - Develop and steward a community advertising program, meant to build awareness for and support the firm's community activities and priorities.
