Director of Sales, Sponsorship at Live Nation

Location: Washington, DC

Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for prospecting, pitching, and closing sponsor sales to achieve sponsor sales budget for venue/marketplace activities.

Responsibilities:
Sponsorship sales for venues, concert series, festivals, and other music-related activities in your marketplace.
Sales of sponsorship programs to local and regional companies including all business categories.
Develop sponsorship packages and pricing.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and collateral materials.
Liaison with local and national clients.
Work with Sponsorship Coordinator to oversee and ensure sponsor fulfillment.
Oversee sponsor contracts, invoicing, and accounts receivable or develop processes to ensure execution and collections.
Works closely with premium seating manager to coordinate sponsors' box/season seats and hospitality events.
Responsible for own business correspondence and proposals.
Responsible for working with Regional VP to create annual budgets, including sales forecasts and expenses.

Required Skills
Qualifications:
4 year degree minimum.
Combination of 5+ years direct business-to-business sales and sponsorship experience (property or client-side).
Must be willing to cold call and have the skills to both acquire new accounts and mange existing accounts.
Proven sales record.
Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong ability to identify opportunities, develop account strategies, and negotiate creative solutions.
Proven team player.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Senior Manager — Affinity and Partnership Marketing Programs at DIRECTV

Description:
Our Affinity Marketing Team is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join us in our El Segundo, CA offices. This position will be responsible for managing strategic marketing partnership programs delivering incremental, profitable new subscribers to DIRECTV.

Responsibilities:
1.) Strategic Thinking - Develop high impact strategies to meet/exceed stated subscriber acquisition plans. Develop innovative ways to connect our brand to other prospect brands and companies. Translate strategies into tactical plan and overall campaign calendar.
2.) Strategic Development - Conduct in depth assessments of various partners in various verticals and build an innovative marketing strategy to maximize DIRECTV's integration into marketing communication opportunities. Be able assess outcomes, findings, implications, refine the strategy and retest integration strategy.
3.) Leadership - Lead internal marketing teams, external marketing agencies, and business partners to execute high performance marketing plans.
4.) Direct Marketing - Manage development and execution of partnership direct marketing elements including various elements of printed materials, direct mail, online, television and other forms of direct marketing. Propose and create offers specific to audience, drive segmentation and targeting recommendations, and provide direction for creative look, feel and messaging. Includes driving, developing, and tracking test and learn strategies consistent with Direct Marketing best practices. Develop corrective strategies to improve program performance as needed.
5.) Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting - Develop daily, weekly, monthly, annual calls, sales and activations plans, using historical trends and planned future strategies, tactics and investments. Develop monthly budget to achieve the plan. Ensure program has an ROI and Cost per Acquisition (CPA) consistent with management expectations. Monitor all program expenses, maintain and reconcile a detailed annual expense budget.
6.) Business Strategy and Plan Presentations - Develop and communicate clear, concise business plan presentations to senior management.
7.) Management Reporting - Communicate to senior management weekly detailed program results and actions to improve. Work with IT/database and analytic resources to develop accurate campaign tracking and program reporting on an on-going basis.
8.) Campaign Execution - Develop and oversee campaign tactics and execution timeline. Never miss a deliverable date. Oversee and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including creative teams, agencies, operations, finance and legal.
9.) Analysis and Research - Drive analytics and research projects with internal subject matter experts to gain new learning and create new growth strategies.
10.) Operations - Serve as primary interface for all operations necessary to achieve key business goals. Develop requirements and communicate to Operations team necessary program elements to launch and operate programs effectively and efficiently..
11.) Partner Management and Business Development Support - Manage partner relationships on an on-going basis, including collaborating on marketing collateral, tactic development, reporting results, determining needs and setting and fulfilling partner expectations. Support the business development team by providing input on potential campaign performance during the partnership negotiation process.

The New York Office Manager is an integral member of the New York Office and Business Development Team. This position will assist with all facets of running the NYC Office as well as the sales process from identifying prospective clients to developing sales presentations to activating client sponsorship programs.
